Don’t miss L’Amour, a passionate expression of romantic love in celebration of Valentine’s Day, expressed through music & dance. David Taylor Dance Theatre and the Colorado Chamber Players join forces for another electrifying weekend. Both dancers and musicians perform on stage, with a powerfully combined art form: chamber dance.
Love can be as highly complex and as varied as people are. The two ensembles will delve into many kinds of love and heartbreak: romantic, requited, jealous, unrequited, obsessive, twisted – all performed in the intimate setting of contemporary dance and chamber music.
So often, musicians are hidden in the pit when ballet or dance is performed. It is a rare treat to have both musicians and dancers on the same visual plane. It heightens an audience’s experience of exquisitely combined music and choreography.
