Patrick Tillery has been the Associate Principal Trumpet of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra since 1991 and is the trumpet instructor at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Patrick has performed with the Columbus Symphony, the San Diego Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and the Midland-Odessa Symphony. He has been a member of the Lone Star Brass Quintet and the Kentucky Arts Brass Quintet; he was a founding member of the Scioto Brass Quintet and is currently a member of the Colorado Symphony Brass Quintet. Patrick has recorded on the Naxos, ProArte, Koch Classics and First Edition recording labels. Mr. Tillery has presented master classes and clinics at many schools and universities, and his teaching experience includes positions at the Ohio State University and the University of Denver. As a native of Edgewood, Kentucky, Mr. Tillery holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Louisville and a Master of Music degree from the Ohio State University. His major teachers include Leon Rapier and Philip Collins.
