Jeanne Chin, Viola
Jeanne Chin, viola, B.M., San Francisco State University, M.M., Manhattan School of Music, studied under Don Ehrlich, Tom Heimberg and Lillian Fuchs. She spent several summers as a student at the Aspen Music Festival. Currently, Ms. Chin is the principal violist with the Colorado Ballet, plays the Broadway show circuit at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and freelances in the region. She has been a member of the Cabrillo Music Festival for four seasons. She has played as principal at the Cabrillo Music Festival and the Denver Chamber Orchestra and was appointed as a substitute member of the Colorado Symphony. Ms. Chin was a solo violist with Opera Colorado's chamber opera productions of "Curlew River" and The Burning Fiery Furnace". She traveled throughout rural Colorado with Colorado Chautauqua as a member of the Aspen String Trio sponsored by the Colorado Council for the Arts and Humanities. Groups she has also played with include the Colorado Philharmonic (now the National Repertory Orchestra), Academy in the Wilderness and Bravo Vail with the Colorado Symphony.
