Daniel Knopf, Bassoon
In his debut season as a member of the Colorado Chamber Players, bassoonist and teacher Dan Knopf is noted as one of America's brightest up-and-coming concert artists. Since receiving a bachelor of music degree from Juilliard and a masters degree in music from Yale, he has been a soloist with the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra, and with several other orchestras and ensembles throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
A native of Denver, Mr. Knopf is a member of the music faculty at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, and was previously a member of the music faculty at Western Connecticut State University.
His peers have called him "a role model for Denvers youth. In addition to his busy performing schedule, he is the Instrumental Music Director at Denver South High School, where he dedicates himself to growing and sustaining music programs in Denvers urban, inner-city schools.
