I. Bach and Beyond: Music of the German Masters
Celebrate string quartet and solo violin music of the great German composers Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms. A wonderful way to introduce young audiences to the delights of chamber music!

II. The Emperor and the Nightingale, for flute, strings and narrator
Based on the classic childrens story by Hans Christian Andersen. Audience volunteers are invited to play percussion instruments along with the CCP performers. A wonderful musical fairy tale!

III. Debussys Legacy: Flute, Viola and Harp
Claude Debussy was Frances most important composer in the early 1900s, and invented a new chamber music form: flute, viola and harp trio. Youll hear relaxing, nostalgic and dreamy music for this trio combination. Music by Rebecca Clarke, Bennett, Debussy and Arnold Bax.

IV. Oceanophony: A Tale of Sea Life, by Bruce Adolphe
Plunge into an ocean of music and poetry to meet the sarcastic fringehead fish, pufferfish, stoplight parrotfish, a love-struck seahorse, coral, an octopus, and more! A sonic illustration of undersea life. Music by Bruce Adolphe, Poetry by Kate Light. Optional slide show of marine animals. Scored for 8 instruments and narrator.
Grades 3-5, 6-8, high school, seniors.

V. From Budapest to Vienna
The glittering world of the Hungarian and Austrian musical capitals is recreated in this program of delicious European music. Main course: Dohnanyi Piano Sextet, with appetizers of Brahms and dessert by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Instruments: piano, strings, horn and clarinet.
Grades 3-5, 6-8, high school, seniors.
