Lynne Abbey-Lee, Harp
Lynne Abbey-Lee, Harp, is Instructor of Harp at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Previously on the faculty of the University of Richmond, she was Principal Harpist of the Richmond Symphony for 15 years. She served in that same position for the Colorado Symphony and the Shreveport (LA) Symphony, and also performed with the Rochester Philharmonic and several other orchestras. Her teachers include Ruth Dean Clark at the University of Michigan and Alice Chalifoux. Ms. Abbey-Lee has recorded a CD of Christmas music, and also with the Richmond and Colorado orchestras, including as soloist in Frank Martin's Three Dances in Richmond. In 2002, she performed at the World Harp Congress in Geneva. She has appeared at conferences of the American Harp Society and the National Flute Association, and writes for The Harp Column magazine.
