Paul Primus, Violin
Paul is Principal Second Violin with the Colorado Symphony. He has played as concertmaster with the Central City Opera Orchestra, and concertmaster with the Colorado Symphony. He was a member of the Chicago Ensemble for two seasons. A frequent soloist with orchestra, he has performed concertos by Tschaikowsky, Wieniewski, Mozart and Chausson. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin, and is a member of the Lozano Quartet. He is a founding member of The Colorado Chamber Players, and is on the faculty of the Eastern Music Festival. In February 1996, he toured Europe with the American Sinfonietta. Mr. Primus' major teachers were Daniel Majeski, Laurence Shapiro, and Leonard Sorkin. He has recorded for the Centaur, RCA Victor and Raccoon Hollar labels.
