MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH

Colorado Chamber Players musicians and harpist Ann Marie Liss perform a Halloween program at Smoky Hill Library.  

Edgar Allen Poe’s spooky story of Prince Prospero and his guests in a haunted abbey, is performed alongside music for harp and string quartet by French composer Andre Caplet in Conte Fantastique. A reading of the story by Mare Trevathan, will be interspersed with the musical performance, which also includes Saint-Saëns Danse Macabre for strings and harp, and Renie Legende for solo harp. Costumes welcome!
