The Colorado Chamber Players will perform a free chamber music concert with five musicians, Musica de las Americas, for flute and string quartet. The 50-minute program encompasses the amazing variety of music and ethnicity from North, Central and South America, and will appeal to music lovers of all ages.

As part of the Next Stage Now, the concert will occur in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House Studio Loft on July 31st, at 2 p.m. An additional concert will occur at 12 p.m. in the Studio Loft.

The CCP will perform music of South American composers Alberto Ginastera and Astor Piazzolla; American composers Maria Newman and Mark Carlson; excerpts from Dvorak’s American quartet, written in Spillville, Iowa; and Mexican folk songs.
