Twenty six years — a quarter century, and then some! The Colorado Chamber Players is thrilled to celebrate our 26th Season “Music Speaks” with new friends, new projects and with YOU, our wonderful audience members.
We join the rest of the world in celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday in 2020, with a unique project Incessant Hum. Jeffrey Neuman’s world premiere script is paired with late Beethoven quartets and piano music, as we explore the emotional world Beethoven experienced after he lost most of his hearing.
We welcome Viola D’amore virtuoso Daniel Urbanowicz and early music rock star Ann Marie Morgan, Gamba, for a marvelous program of Telemann, Huberty, Ariosti, deRore and music from the Gottweig archive, in November 2019.
Dallas Symphony Principal Harpist Emily Levin (and Colorado native) returns to perform with the CCP, in Caplet’s spooky Conte Fantastique, along with Halloween stories with Stories on Stage, in October 2019.
The world renowned French string quartet, Quatour Stanislas, will join forces with the CCP quartet in the exuberant Mendelssohn string Octet, op. 20, along with quartets by Beethoven and Ravel, for a week long visit in Colorado and Wyoming in April 2020.
We end the season with sumptuous harp chamber music by Ravel, Debussy and Ropartz, in May 2020.
Join us for a thrilling 26th Season!
