Incessant Hum: Beethoven 2020, gala at Opus Two hall

January 18, 2020 by Barbara Hamilton

Colorado Chamber Players presents a world premiere of a new music/theatre hybrid, with a script by Jeffrey Neuman, directed by Mare Trevathan.

As the world celebrates the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven, we explore the emotional world that Beethoven experienced, as he lost his hearing and ability to perform as a pianist and conductor.  Two actors, Chris Kendall and Chelsea Frye, perform Neuman’s script, along with excerpts from late works by Beethoven. Directed by Mare Trevathan.  Please note: this venue is not handicapped accessible nor do we offer assistive listening devices for this performance.

Tonight’s performance is a gala fundraiser for the Colorado Chamber Players at Opus Two Hall, with a performance, heavy appetizers, and wine. Appetizers will be served at 6:30 pm, performance begins at 7 pm. Tickets are now available from Brown Paper Tickets.
